My Sailing History.

I sailed board boats since I was young, and managed to rebuild a wooden SUNFISH, and a SNIPE.

Both of which were fun, and lived up to the Whole-in-the-water proverb.

We owned a VIPER, 14 foot boat and were silly enough to drag it to florida and sail it in the surf two times.

Since 1995, we have maintained the 25 foot Catalina CHEBUKTU for Trimec Aviation in fort Worth Texas.

In 2007, The Heffley Family and the Wilke Family finally went to sail in Marsh Harbor for a week aboard ISLAND GIRL.

Here is some Marsh Harbor ifo from 2007:

The Abacos
Marsh Harbor/Green Turtle Cay/Walkers Cay

Bahamas, Bahamas scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, diving, scuba dive. Come to the Bahamas..... Often referred to as the "Top of The Bahamas," the Abacos are an elbowshaped span of islands and cays that stretch from Walker's Cay in the north to the southeast tip of Great Abaco-a distance of more than 130 miles. The Abaco chain is comprised of two main islands, Great and Little Abaco, and dozens of cays that form a bordering fringe of islets.

MARSH HARBOUR

Marsh Harbour, on the island of Great Abaco, is the third largest town in The Bahamas. The 120 foot, candystriped Elbow Cay Lighthouse is probably the most photographed landmark in The Bahamas. The extensive shoreline of Great Abaco includes many areas of shallow banks, supporting protected patch reefs and fringing reefs. To the north and east is a lengthy barrier reef just beyond the many offshore islets. The diving area is best known for its easy shallow sites and an extensive array of undersea life owing, in part, to the protection of a marine park covering much of the area. There is also an unusual abundance of Pillar Coral at many poQuiar reef sites.

Top dive sites include The Towers, with huge coral pinnacles, 60 feet tall, pierced with tunnels and caven Grouper Alley, with numerous tunnels that cut throu and beneath a monstrous coral head in 40 foot deptl Wayne's World, a tour of the outside of the barrier reef in 70 feet of water; and The Cathedral, a huge cavern where shafts of sunlight dance on the floor.

Green Turtle Cay

Green Turtle Cay, the "jewel of the Abacos," lies three miles off the northeast coast of Great Abaco. Three and a half miles long and onehalf mile wide, it features an undulating coastline of bays, banks and several long beaches.

The dive sites include Tarpon Reef, with high profile corals providing a home for a school of Tarpon and a huge Green Moray; Coral Caverns, a series of winding caverns filled with clouds of shiny Silversides; the San Jacinto, the wreck of a large steamship that sank in 1865 in 40 feet of water; The Catacombs, a shallow sunsplattered cavern with abundant tropical fish and frequent turtles; and Coral Condos, a large formation of coral heads with cascading plate coral and excellent marine life in 60' water.

Walker's Cay

The northernmost and most isolated outpost of the Abaco Chain, Walker's Cay is well known as a diving and fishing paradise. Although tiny and remote, Walker's Cay provides an atmosphere of exceptional service and casual elegance. The diving, which ·features bank, fringing and patch reefs, also includes dropoffs. Spiral Cavern, in 45 feet of water, is a dramatic dive that features caverns filled with minnows, that wind and meander through huge coral formations. Barracuda Alley, in 45 feet of water, is a beautiful reef formation that is the home of Charlie, a "tame" six foot Barracuda.

A feature attraction at Walker's Cay is the Shark Rodeo. This is an unbelievable feeding demonstration that usually attracts more than 100 sharks and 100 groupers. Shark Canyon is a 90 foot dive drifting through a high profile reef system. A cavern within the canyon often hosts sleeping sharks of various species.

Spanish Cay

Spanish Cay got its name from the many Spanish galleons rumored to have sunk nearby. Meghan's Mesa features a sandy bottom with magnificent coral structures coming from 40 feet to within two or three feet of the surface. It is noted for its fish life. Wrecker's Reef, the site of ancient shipwrecks, offers huge formations topped with Elkhorn and Staghorn Corals.
